Flu Vaccine Clinics 2021

GHFP is starting Flu Vaccination Clinics on weekday afternoons (4pm to 6pm) on Monday 12th April 2021.

Please use the AMS Connect App, our website Book Appointment button, or phone our friendly Reception Team to book a Flu Vaccine Clinic appointment.

To avoid disappointment we are only allowing bookings once vaccines arrive at the practice. If the vaccine you're eligible for (government or private) is not available at the time of your enquiry you ill be prompted to "reserve" a vaccine. Patients who have reserved a vaccine are "waitlisted" and will receive an automated SMS inviting them to book a Flu Vaccine Clinic appointment once the vaccine arrives.

Government funded flu vaccines

Free (government funded) influenza vaccine is available for the following groups:

  • All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and older
  • All children aged 6 months to less than 5 years of age
  • Pregnant women (during any stage of pregnancy)
  • People medically at risk aged 6 months and older (see table below)
  • All adults aged 65 years and older

Private flu vaccines

GHFP stocks private Flu Vaccine and the cost is $20.

All Flu Vaccine Clinic appointments will be bulk-billed.

Can I have both the Flu Vaccine and the Covid-19 vaccine?

Yes, but not on the same day, and not within 14 days of each other!

This year's flu vaccination season is running concurrently with the Covid-19 vaccine phase 1b rollout. It is not recommended that any other vaccines be given within 14 days before or after a COVID-19 vaccine. Please make sure that your appointments for Covid-19 Vaccine and Flu Vaccine are at least 14 days apart.
