GHFP - Dr Alice Frampton

Dr Alice Frampton

BMedSc, MBBS (hons), FRACGP
Specialist General Practitioner

Alice grew up locally and obtained her medical degree at UTAS in 2002. Alice has been working as a General Practitioner since 2005 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007. Alice enjoys complex care and chronic disease management, working with patients of Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander origin to close the gappalliative care and VAD. Alice loves really getting to know people and their families, and feels that it's a privilege to be part of people's health journeys, during their happiest and their most difficult times.

Alice enjoys learning with Medical Students and GP Registrars, and is passionate about doctor's self-care and sustainability in General Practice.

Alice and her family live in Howrah, and are passionate about nipaluna/Hobart’s eastern shore community, with most of their extended family currently living in Clarence. The opportunity to start a new medical centre in the area is something Alice and her husband worked on for several years before seeing their dream come to life, opening Glebe Hill Family Practice in 2017, and then GHFP Nurture in 2022.

Outside of work, Alice loves being a mum, cooking, gardening and keeping in touch with friends.

Sessions:

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus Saturdays (once a month) at Glebe Hill Family Practice.

Dr Alice Frampton will be adding Wednesdays from 21st July 2025.
