Dr Dora von Conrady

Specialist General Practitioner

Dora and her husband came to Tasmania to walk the overland track in 2009. This made a lasting impression and in 2011 they moved to Tasmania and Dora began her General Practice training. Prior to this, Dora had been working as a surgical registrar in Perth, WA for 3 years before which she completed her Basic Surgical Training with the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (MRCSI) in 2005. Dora was born in Germany and grew up on a farm in Ireland. She attended the National University of Ireland, Galway where she obtained her medical degree in 2003. Dora lives in Hobart with her husband and 2 young children.

Dora enjoys all aspects of general practice and particularly enjoys performing surgical procedures including vasectomy, IUD, wedge resections and skin cancer surgery. She has continued her professional development in this area which has allowed her to apply skills from her surgical training in a general practice context. She also has an interest in women’s health and family planning.

MRCSI: member with the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland
DRANZCOG: Diploma with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians
and Gynaecologists
FRACGP: Fellow with the Australian College of General Practice
FARGP: Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice
Professional Certificate in Dermoscopy, Healthcert
Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery, Healthcert
