Elizabeth (Libby) Ramsay

Libby grew up in Burnie. She started her nursing training half way through year 12 at Hellyer College, and qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1984 through the North West Regional Hospital. Libby's career has taken her around the world working mainly in Intensive Care and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care, from Melbourne to Hobart, the UK and Dublin. Whilst working in Alice Springs Libby spent an amazing 9 months working in an Aboriginal Community in Utopia. During that time Libby developed an interest in Preventative Health and Immunisation. Libby returned from overseas with her family in 2007, and pursued a career in General Practice Nursing.

Outside of work Libby enjoys spending time with her family, being "Mum's Taxi", gardening and reading.
