Welcome Dr Aisling Gillen

We're delighted to have Dr Aisling (pronounced Ash-Ling) Gillen join Glebe Hill Family Practice in February 2026.

Aisling grew up in the countryside of Co Longford, Ireland, and completed her medical degree at University College Dublin.

She made the move to Australia in 2021. Since then, she has worked in a variety of hospitals across the country, including both Joondalup and Midland Hospitals in Perth, the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and most recently, the Royal Hobart Hospital here in Tasmania. 

Aisling joins us from her most recent general practice placement at Lenah Valley Medical Centre and brings a wealth of experience and a diverse medical background to her practice. She is particularly interested in chronic disease management, women's health, and care for the elderly, and is committed to providing patient-centred care. When she's not working, Aisling enjoys practicing pottery, as well as yoga and bush-walking, which provide a perfect balance to her busy medical career.
